Celebrate Earth Day, the Moreno Valley way!



Join us on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Demonstration Garden for a fun day featuring raffles, workshops, garden tours, youth crafts, tree giveaways, and other exciting earth-friendly activities! Moreno Valley's Earth Day Celebration is a free community event.


The Community Demonstration Garden is located at 14075 Frederick Street, behind the Conference & Recreation Center.

Know the 4-1-1 before there's a 9-1-1!

Get better prepared to help yourself and others during a disaster!



Through our free CERT training, the City provides information and hands-on training for citizens to help them better handle disasters and reduce the risk of hazards in and around the home.


CERT also teaches life-saving skills, with an emphasis on decision-making, rescuer safety, and doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people.


Lifesaving skills include disaster medical, sizing up hazards, fire suppression, and light search and rescue.


June Class Dates and Time:

Friday, June 28, 2024, 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Saturday, June 29, 2024, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sunday, June 30, 2024, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.


About the Course:

  • Classes are free and limited to 30 students
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (16 years of age if a parent or guardian attends)
  • Students must attend all three days (20 total hours) to receive a Certificate of Completion
  • All classes are held at 22870 Calle San Juan de Los Lagos, Moreno Valley

When: Tuesday, April 16 - Saturday, April 20


Where: Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, 14041 Elsworth Street


Fees: $50 dogs/puppies; $25 cats/kittens.


Includes: Spay or neuter surgery, vaccines, and a HomeAgain microchip.


Pets adopted that have not been altered will stay for surgery and will be available to go home on the afternoon of the day surgery is scheduled. The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter is located at 14041 Elsworth St in Moreno Valley.

A Cut Above the Rest

Got some documents you need to shred?


The City of Moreno Valley is hosting a free Drive-Thru Shred Event this Saturday, April 6, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until the truck is full. Our Shred Event is a safe and easy way to dispose of all your confidential or sensitive documents properly.


For free, on-site shredding, residents can bring up to three banker-sized boxes or three 33-gallon bags per household.


The Free Drive-Thru Shred Event will be held at the City Yard, located at 15670 Perris Blvd.

Pet of the Week: Millie

Our Pet of the Week is Millie, a 9-pound Terrier-Pug mix. Millie is a bundle of upbeat happiness and a certified cuddlebug. She's just as happy going on walks as she is curling up in your lap and binge-watching TV together.
