Friends,
More than a tree grows in Brooklyn!
I'm proud to partner with Brooklyn Botanic Garden on the 24th annual Greenest Block in Brooklyn, a free contest open to all residential blocks, commercial blocks, and community gardens in Brooklyn. The winners of the contest will be announced at a ceremony in August. To sign up, visit bbg.org/greenestblock. Entries must be submitted by Friday, June 1st.
Ahead of the contest registration deadline, all are welcome to a free workshop on How To Green Your Block at Brooklyn Botanic Garden on Wednesday, May 23rd. Plants are available to take home! To register for the workshop, visit bbg.org/learn/community.
The Greenest Block in Brooklyn contest not only encourages us to use our hands, but our hearts and souls as well.
When we 'green' it, we're not just cultivating beautiful gardens; we're creating One Brooklyn that is a healthier and happier place to raise healthy children and families.
