The Cassie Pearson Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in Nov 2020 for the purpose of providing scholarship funds to academically deserving and financially insufficient students. According to Cassie’s father, Eric Pearson of Taunton, “We created the fund as a way to memorialize our daughter who was stricken with lymphoma early in 2020 and passed after a short but hard fought battle 8 months later.” They are now focused on providing annual scholarships at the area high schools for students looking to begin their collegiate journey. They chose Taunton High as their first school and will be awarding (3) $500 scholarships to deserving THS seniors.
