So Many DOGS

Neglected & Abandoned

β€Š

We'd like you to meet two more dogs who suffered at the hands of their owners but now have a second chance at life.

Ms. Fluff spent days lying in rocks outside an auto parts store before social media brought her to the attention of Anthem Pets. The poor gal was clearly neglected, she was abandoned and left to die.

Barney also suffered like Ms. Fluff but was picked up by the county where he was slated for euthanasia. He was discovered by an Anthem Pets volunteer who believed this poor guy deserved better.

Both are with loving Fosters, surrounded by kind words and gentle touches. They are receiving veterinary care and responding positively to their new environments.

Barney is now available for foster-to-adopt to a special person who can provide him with a loving environment and help him complete his veterinary care with Anthem Pets. His mange is non-contagious to people or other animals. Please click to read his bio and schedule a Meet & Greet with this special boy.

This month has been a tough one for dogs. Please help us make a difference for more abused and abandoned dogs by making a one-time or monthly tax deductible donation to our Veterinary Fund. Thank you!

Cinnamon's Sacrifice:

Kittens Saved, Mom loses Eye

It's a rescue trapper's nightmare: Successfully trap a pet only to discover that it is a nursing female, and the babies are nowhere in sight! This drama started last month when a volunteer trapped Cinnamon and found she was nursing. Volunteers scoured the area without finding the kittens and then unexpectedly this momma cat escaped her rescuers!

Over the course of a month Anthem Pets volunteers returned over and over to search the area and finally the kittens were spotted! It was a great relief to find them, but it took another three days to trap Cinnamon.

Sadly, during this time a cactus spine did irreparable damage to Cinnamon's eye, and her eye had to be removed. Ironically, her kittens were so well hidden that they would have starved to death had she not escaped!

With the dedication of Volunteers and Fosters, and your donations to our Veterinary Fund, Cinnamon and her kittens were saved. Please donate at a link above and consider joining this group of animal lovers to ensure we can help the next Cinnamon! Thank you!
