In heartwarming news, Trilly (short for Trillium) has found her forever home with WCSO Deputy Armstrong. After responding to an animal abuse call in May, Deputy Armstrong encountered Trilly, then known as “Dice”, who had suffered severe abuse.

As Trilly began to receive care and heal, Deputy Armstrong embarked on the process of adopting her, determined to give her the best chance at a happy life. Deputy Armstrong emphasized, "Even though she’s a dog, she’s a member of our community."

Today, Trilly is thriving in the loving care of Deputy Armstrong. Thank you, Deputy Armstrong, for exemplifying our core values and making a positive impact in our community.

Safety Spotlight

June is National Internet Safety Month, and with summer break right around the corner, kids may have more free time to spend online.

While the internet can be a great resource and offer many benefits when used responsibly, staying safe can be challenging.

Parents and caregivers must set age-appropriate guidelines for their children and monitor their use to avoid certain dangers.

Educating children about cautiously navigating the internet is becoming increasingly important to keep them safe and secure.

Kids can be easily exposed to inappropriate material and cyberbullying, have contact with strangers, and share their personal information with those with malicious intent.

If kids encounter inappropriate contact online, they must know what to do. Report it! They should immediately talk to a trusted adult and report the contact together to non-emergency 503-692-0111.
