Our first Monthly Mystery Mini Mixer was a huge success! We are so grateful to our first hosts who went into this new event completely blind: Bivouac Coffee for Breakfast, Evergreen Bread Lounge for the Lunch hour and RPM Insurance Agency for the cocktail hour!
If you are looking to start easing your way into in-person networking again please join us for the 4M! Each location will include up to 8 other business representatives for you to network with in a safe and distanced environment.

New Social Media Benefit Guidelines
The Pandemic has brought along some changes that we are fairly certain won't be going anywhere anytime soon. One of those things is Marketing and Communicating in the digital age. Here at the Chamber we want to make sure that we are serving you and your business in all avenues. We have outlined below what Social Media Benefits you can expect based on your membership level.

When you provide your content to be posted on the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, please include a graphic and copy. Email this information to along with when you would prefer it to be posted. We will try our very best to accommodate the desired date of posting based on the rest of the Chamber posting calendar.

Leads Group Opening
Women 2 Women Leads Group has available spots!
They meet monthly on the 2nd Wednesday. Right now they are virtual but hope to go back to in-person this fall. When in person, they meet at the Evergreen fire station. Dues at $48 per year. 

"We are a group of ladies who work to support one another in our business (and sometimes personal) life by getting to know one another and understanding what others offer. By doing so, we can do business directly but we also frequently share one another's information with people not in the group!"

Meet Honoree Celebration Nominees
Nonprofit of the year nominees:
Blue Spruce Kiwanis Club of Evergreen: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Evergreen Chapter participates in numerous fundraising activities and take a hands -on approach to helping in the community and improving the lives of children locally and worldwide.
Bootstraps, Inc.: Since 1945, Bootstraps has served more than 2,000 promising mountain-area students through scholarships and interest free loans. Many students return to the area to live and work, giving back to their neighbors in many ways. In partnership with the community, Bootstraps helps future generations achieve their goals of higher education. All scholarships and loans are funded by local individuals, businesses, civic groups, and private foundations.
Center for the Arts Evergreen: Center for the Arts Evergreen provides quality art instruction, exhibitions, and events. Their main gallery showcases local and nationally-acclaimed artists in both curated and juried exhibitions. They offer myriad educational opportunities for adults and children in the visual arts, writing, and art history.
Epic 4x4 Quest: Nonprofit organization with a mission of helping law enforcement members and their family while raising awareness of issues affecting law enforcement.
Evergreen Music Festival: Evergreen Music Festival honors our military personnel every 4th of July while providing outstanding musical entertainment! Wonderful food & drink, Rotary Club car show. This year they are premiering a Memorial Day festival!
Evergreen Public Schools: Bergen Meadow Elementary, Bergen Valley Elementary, Parmalee Elementary, Wilmot Elementary, Evergreen Middle School, Evergreen High School.
Jefferson Center: Jefferson Center is a nonprofit, community-focused mental health care and substance use services provider.

Volunteer of the year nominees:
Bruce Anderson: Volunteers for the Evergreen Rotary Club, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Evergreen Recycle Day, Foothills Home and Garden Show, Center for the Arts Evergreen, Boogie at the Barn and the Evergreen Chamber and he is in Leadership Evergreen Class of 2019. Bruce owns Anderson Insurance Agency with Farmers Insurance.
Cathleen Timmons: Volunteers at Evergreen Animal Protective League coordinating adoptions, fundraising efforts, and organizing events such as 'Zombie Run' and 'Dogs on the Catwalk'.
Kristy Tolan: Volunteers as the Board President for Blue Spruce Kiwanis.
Marilyn Saltzman: Volunteers as Board President for Mountain Resource Center.
Dusty Dodge: Volunteers at Blue Spruce Habitat, including being Board President since 2017 and participating in several Habitat Global Village trips oversees. He also assists local single parents in need of help with auto repairs through Hands of the Carpenter.

Ambassador of the year nominees:
Carol O'Brien: Carol remained fully engaged and active at ribbon cuttings and events during the pandemic and showed true dedication to Chamber members. Carol owns and operates Carol O'Brien Architecture.
Janice Holmes: Janice is actively engaged in the community and worked to infuse a new energy in the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program. Janice is brand representative at Payroll Vault Jefferson County.

Leader of the year nominees:
Lesley Dahlkemper - Jefferson Country Commissioner: Lesley is a local leader who went the extra mile to help our local businesses and residents through the hardships of 2020. She hosted and attended additional meetings with our area Chambers of Commerce, held public meetings for constituents to ease fears and receive feedback, and she did all of this with grace, poise, and compassion. Lesley also organized and currently chairs the Jeffco Wildfire Risk Reduction Task Force increasing awareness of the high risk of wildfire.
Betsy Hays - Mount Evans Healthcare & Hospice: As President of the Evergreen Chamber until mid September, Betsy showed exemplary leadership and was a champion for local businesses. She initiated new programs that were instrumental in promoting businesses in the mountain community.
Cindy Latham - Latham Consulting Services: Cindy was instrumental in starting and currently serves as the chair of Rotary Wildfire Ready (RWR) in partnership with the Mountain Area Rotary Clubs, Community Leaders, and Local Fire Departments.

Youth of the year nominees:
Alexa Weakley - Evergreen High School: Alexa is a member of the National Honor Society, Young Rotary Leadership, and mentors young students through the Link Leader program at Evergreen High School. She has volunteered many hours to EChO, Mountain Backpack, Salvation Army Bell Ringing and other community service organizations.
Serena Weingardt - Evergreen High School: Serena has lettered in Community Service every year of high school accumulating over 369 hours of service. Has volunteered with organizations such as Girl Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Denver Zoo, KACF, Mountain Youth Musicals, and National Get Outside Day.
Molly Widlund - Conifer High School: Molly is an officer of the National Honor Society and an athlete and she helped start the Conifer Humanitarian Society club at Conifer High School.

Virtual Benefit Gala for Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice
We are so excited to welcome you to our event, A Toast to 40 Years, Birthday Gala in a Box! A TV Show Benefit for Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice. Our annual Gala will not be in person this year but we still need to get together to honor a milestone!
Tickets are $40 per person. Each attendee will receive a birthday box with wine and glass to toast, special birthday dessert and other birthday goodies to set the mood in your own home while you join us for a celebration of the 40 years of service Mount Evans has provided our community. There will be a silent and live auction, fundraising opportunities and the music of Tunisia!

Meet the Board Executives
Susanne Robert—Treasurer
Susanne C. Robert, CPA is Owner and Managing Member of Robert & Associates, LLC, a full-service accounting firm based in the heart of Evergreen. Susanne received her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Nebraska.

After 15 years of working with larger accounting firms and becoming a Partner with accountability for a seven-member team, Susanne decided to launch her own accounting firm. Robert & Associates blends the expertise of a large accounting operation with the personalized service of a neighborhood business.

Susanne has a strong commitment to the business and nonprofit communities. In addition to her involvement with the Chamber, which named her 2018 Ambassador of the Year, Susanne is active in Women of Evergreen Business, past president and board member for the Rotary Club of Mountain Foothills, and Treasurer of Boogie Benefits, Inc.

She and her husband Bryant live in Evergreen.

Bruce Anderson—Secretary
Bruce and his family moved to Evergreen in 2008, relocating to Colorado from Maine.

After a successful career as a corporate executive and consultant Bruce was recruited by Farmers Insurance to acquire a specific agency in Evergreen in 2015. He has owned the business for five years and in that time has earned Topper Club honors (achievement club for top performing Farmer’s agents) and his agency was selected by the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce as Business of the Year for 2018. The agency sponsors several community events including the Evergreen Center for the Arts concert series, Ovation West Evergreen Center Stage productions, Evergreen Chamber Taste of Evergreen, Evergreen Music Festival, Boogie at the Barn concerts, and the Evergreen High School Baseball Team.

Bruce is very active in the Evergreen community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, an Ambassador and Board Member for the Chamber, affiliate member of the Mountain Metro Association of Realtors, Member of Evergreen Rotary Club, Board Member for the Boogie at the Barn non-profit fundraising events, Board Member for Center for the Arts Evergreen, Board Member for the Evergreen Community Disaster Fund non-profit organization, an advisory committee member for Ovation West, and serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Evergreen.

In his spare time Bruce enjoys golf, alpine skiing, hiking, cooking, and attending local live music and theater events in town.
