Phosphate binders in the ESRD bundle for CY2025
In the recently published proposed rule for the calendar year 2025 ESRD program, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has confirmed that starting in January 2025, phosphate lowering medications will be included in the Part B bundled rate (the ESRD “bundle”) for dialysis facilities, and will not be separately reimbursed via Medicare Part D.
