This eagerly anticipated annual event is being planned out now. The theme for this year - Equitable Solutions in Action: Sustainability, Resilience and Stewardship - offers the opportunity for a wide range of informational, and challenging, breakout sessions. New this year will be an "Academic/Research" track coordinated by staff from the UNF Institute of Environmental Research and Education.

First Coast APA Prof Development Series:

Resilience in Northeast Florida


May 22nd | 12 - 1:30 pm

WJCT Studios

This event will be a great opportunity to connect and gain valuable insights on resilience efforts in our region. Panelists will include professionals from the Northeast Florida Regional Council, the North Florida Green Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Jacksonville. Lunch will be provided for APA members ($10 for non-members) and CM credits will be available. (Please register by Monday, May 20th to receive lunch.)

Traditional art forms and embodied practices like walking and deep listening create biophilic installations, stories and community, while dissolving boundaries between Self and Other. Rooted in reciprocity and creative play, her work has been exhibited and collected by healing centers, public libraries and private individuals for more than 30 years.

Air Quality
(asbestos, noise, odors and permitted facility compliance)

Water Quality
(Erosion & Sediment control, well permitting/inspections, high-risk facility inspections, lift stations inspections, tank inspections and hazardous waste)

Petroleum Clean-up Program
(investigations of petroleum storage tanks and cleanup sites)
