Pen to Paper
Tuesday, April 9th
4:oo pm to 5:00 pm in the Periodical Room
Limited Space available. If interested please sign up for the event. A sign-up form is at the reference desk on the main floor of the Library.
This is a fun exercise that uses the mind while sharing in an open environment. This core writing group can help you to develop skills for writing novels, fanfic, creating unique plots for D&D gameplay, and much more.

Maker Madness
Meetings are held on the
last Wednesday of each month, at
4:00 pm in the Ham Room.
April 24th
Maker Madness is for kids over age 5 & teens to drop in and create! There will be a variety of STEAM activities to choose from.
LEGOs and other building materials will always be available, in addition to arts and crafts activities, simple food preparations, and more!
Kids under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Poetry Group
April 4th @ 4 pm
The Poetry Group will meet every 1st Thursday of the month in the Periodical Room from 4:00-5:30 pm. The Writer/Poetry Group, where fellow lovers of poetry are encouraged to come to write & read their poetry or recite poems from their favorite authors. April's theme is the Zodiac signs: Fire (Aries) and Earth (Taurus) - Have you ever felt fire and passion about something or someone? What grounds you, roots you to the earth?

The Library was recently awarded a $340,000 reimbursement grant from the Northern Borders Regional
Commission (NBRC).
The Library is pursuing other grants and private donations to cover the remaining cost.

April Art Exhibit
The Art Exhibit will be up for all of April.
This art exhibit encompasses all four seasons, by local artist Kyra Murphy who has been working on trying to capture the beauty of the mountains throughout the year!
The artwork is mostly oil pastel drawings and acrylic paintings on canvas of landscapes of the area done in the style of plein air. Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind & experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape.
Kyra Murphy's Open House will explore how she has created these pieces & share her passion for capturing the beauty of New Hampshire in all stages of life.

Databases To Explore:
The Reporter newspaper was established by Charles H. Blanchard. The first issue was dated 6/7/1883, and the last edition was published on 11/26/1992.
The Conway Public Library has digitized 24 reels of microfilm from 3/14/1895 to 12/30/1943.

An additional 46 reels still need to be digitized before the full run of The Reporter can be made available online.
