Village of Montgomery Receives Gold Award for Water Ambassador from Illinois Section American Water Works Association
Montgomery, Illinois – The Village of Montgomery is proud to announce that it has been honored with the prestigious Gold Water Ambassador Award for 2023 through the Illinois Section of the American Water Works Association (ISAWWA). This award recognizes the Village's exceptional commitment to elevate public perception, knowledge and consumer education of the water industry.
As one of twenty-two communities across Illinois to receive this award, the water department team has been actively educating and communicating with our residents through the website, social media, and newsletter publications.
Under exemplary leadership, the Village of Montgomery's water department has maintained the highest standards of water service, fostering a community culture that values and protects this vital resource, ensuring the residents' security and confidence in their water supply. The Village of Montgomery has been proactive in implementing innovative water conservation programs, engaging the community through educational initiatives, and ensuring the sustainable management of water resources. The ISAWWA Gold Award for Water Ambassador was officially presented to Water & Sewer Superintendent Jeremy Moss by ISAWWA’s Board of Trustees Secretary Treasurer Hanting Wange and Engagement Specialist Shaunna Richardson at the Monday, July 22 board meeting.
