The Township has completed improvements at two municipal parks as a follow-up to the Master Plan.
ADA Restroom facilities and sand volleyball courts have been added at Veterans Park with the help of a $161,000 grant (ADA Restrooms) from the Middlesex County Housing and Community Development Program, and $75,000 (volleyball courts) Local Recreation Improvement Grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
Veteran's Park, located at 61 Avenue K, now offers new volleyball courts, a spray park, a playground, cricket pitch and athletic fields as well as brand new restroom facilities and changing area for the Spray Park.
New Sand Volleyball Courts also have been constructed at Patriots Park on Cranbury Half-Acre Road. Patriots Park now offers volleyball courts, playgrounds, basketball court, cricket field and a dog recreation area.
Mayor Dalina gathered with Township Council members and representatives from the Monroe Township Recreation & Parks department and Engineering department to officially open the beautiful new facilities.
