MonmouthResourceNet distributes our weekly update to increase the awareness of resources available for the residents of Monmouth County. These resources are free or funded by a variety of sources such as Medicaid, Private Insurance, and Out-of-Pocket pay.

MonmouthCares' 2024-2025 Community Resource Development Fund Request for Proposals

Funding is intended to support new or existing activities or services through collaboration with community partners that reduce risks to youth and directly promote well-being, safety, health, and connections at home and in the community. MonmouthCares will be hosting two Grant Overview and Q&A sessions that applicants are encouraged to attend.

Allenhurst Tree Lighting Ceremony

Residents and their families are invited to join us for the 2023 Tree Lighting. Enjoy a fire pit and marshmallow toasting. Santa will bring goodies for the children. Please bring unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Bins will be set up for collection.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2023 YMCA Essay Contest Opens

Friday, November 17 - Friday, December 8

As part of our Y’s commitment to social justice and youth engagement, we invite all high school students from greater Monmouth County to participate in an essay contest. Two essays will be selected as grand prize winners. Each winner will receive a $3,000 educational scholarship and a full-year YMCA youth membership. Deadline is 5:00 PM December 8, 2023.


Representing the Under-represented: Strategies to Engage All Communities

Subcommittee members will facilitate discussions to enhance community-based stigma-free initiatives inclusive of those who have been under-represented in mental health awareness campaigns. Small group discussions will help to answer, “What does your community want and need to establish stigma-free initiatives?”

Many food banks have a schedule of Thanksgiving food distributions on their website. You can also call to ask about the food they offer, their hours, and if they have requirements.
