Final Exams Run Through Wednesday

Final exams are taking place this week through Wednesday, June 5. Monday featured finals for Blocks 1 and 2; Tuesday will have finals for Zero Period, followed by Blocks 4 and 3 (in that order); and Wednesday's finals will be Zero Periods and Blocks 5 and 6.

Graduation Reminders For Friday

On graduation day, Friday, June 7, seniors need to be inside the stadium by 7:15 a.m. They will be screened prior to entering the stadium and will not be allowed to carry in their cell phone. A light breakfast will be served in the stadium and Achievers will again be on hand to assist with cap and gown needs.

For Families and Guests: Gates to the multi-purpose field, where the graduation ceremony will be held, will open at 7:15 a.m. Friday. Admission is by ticket only and guests will not be allowed to save seats. It is advisable to enter the facility together. No real flowers will be allowed inside the venue and no food or beverages, other than water, will be permitted. Heels are not allowed, but wedges are. Balloons, confetti, horns, and baby strollers will not be permitted, so please leave those items in your car.

Parking: On graduation morning, Hollister High School's transportation department will be assisting with bus shuttles from the former Kmart parking lot beginning at 7 a.m. Friday. Accessible parking to be provided in every lot with shuttle opportunities. The parking lot behind the Baler Aquatic Center will be accessible parking with shuttle access as well. Guests are encouraged to carpool to assist with parking lot opportunities for all.

Second High School Town Halls Next Week

Our community is invited to two town halls next week regarding a second high school in the San Benito High School District. Attendees will learn more about plans for a second high school, including preliminary designs and financial plan for the new campus, as well as a report on feedback the community has provided regarding the visual identity of the school. The town hall in the school library on Wednesday, June 12 will be presented in Spanish and the Thursday, June 13 event will be presented in English. Dinner will be provided both nights. Woods Students Shine in Competition

Hollister High School Woodworking had four students (Santiago Ramirez, Javier Rocha, Dylan McNett and Wyatt McDonald) submit projects for Mission Bell’s annual woodworking competition. Wyatt McDonald finished third with his end grain coffee table and Dylan McNett finished second with his dovetail box. All four students completed their projects after all required projects were completed for their Advanced Woodworking/Cabinetmaking class, which is taught by Mark Krause.

Concussion Testing Available in June

Sway testing is Hollister High School's in-person concussion test needed for all student-athletes interested in participating in Baler athletics. Students will need to sign up for a time slot using the link here or on Magnus Health through the QR code or the link below:
