Mayor Karla Brown's State of the City luncheon

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present State of the City Pleasanton 2022, featuring Mayor Karla Brown. Everyone in the community is invited to hear Mayor Brown's first in-person State of the City address, set for Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Pleasanton at The Club.

"I look forward to sharing this year’s update with the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and the community at the State of the City address," said Mayor Brown. "I invite Pleasanton residents and businesses to learn about the projects and programs our city has been working on, and some of the exciting initiatives on the horizon that will help ensure our city's growth, vitality, and stability in the years to come."

The luncheon event is a collaborative effort between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. Tickets to attend are available at www.pleasanton.org, $60 per attendee. A limited number of sponsorships are still available. Email Susie for details.

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation invites you to an All-Class Reunion on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SideTrack Bar+Grill in Pleasanton. Museum on Main
The Museum on Main is throwing a welcome party for Gus, the Christensen’s store horse, and everyone is invited! The party will be on the Museum on Main’s front lawn on March 26th from 10am-12pm.

The museum will also be partnering with Big Bay Ray, a local nonprofit that raises money to support local horse rescue organizations. They will be selling their popular tote and wine bags, which are sewn by local volunteers out of recycled animal feed bags.

As March is Women's Herstory Month, Bocado is honoring and celebrating the accomplishments of women around the world. We have designed a window display featuring 30 women trailblazers taking over our storefront windows!

Beginning on March 8th (International Women's Day) and all throughout the month, we will be giving away a free cup of regular coffee with the purchase of a pastry.

Blood donors are essential to the health and safety of our community, and this March, saving lives is a slam dunk at Stanford Blood Center.

Accepting nominations and scholarship recipients
Now open online, April 11, 2022 is deadline for submissions. The Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative is seeking nominations for the 2022 13th Annual Juanita Haugen Community of Character Awards. These awards were established in 2008 to recognize Pleasanton citizens who model high ethical and moral standards of behavior and are dedicated volunteers contributing their time to our community. Candidates for this award should exhibit traits chosen by the Citizens of Pleasanton and Advocated by the Collaborative: Compassion, Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Self-Discipline, and Responsibility. Four high school seniors have been selected by the Community of Character Collaborative as recipients of the 2022 Juanita Haugen Memorial Scholarship. Applicants were required to explain how their actions have reflected any or all of the six characteristics adopted by the Pleasanton Unified School District, City of Pleasanton, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce faith and other organizations: compassion, honesty, respect, responsibility, integrity, and self-discipline. Continue reading here.
