Online registration for Leadership Pleasanton now open | |
A program to develop community leaders
"Leadership Pleasanton provided a unique opportunity to connect with fellow community members, business leaders, and city leaders to learn about Pleasanton's rich history and how the city operates. I have lived in Pleasanton most of my life and am amazed at how little I knew. The program exceeded my expectations and I'd highly recommend it to anyone."
The Leadership Pleasanton program was created by the Pleasanton Chamber in 1988 and has produced more than 830 graduates in its 30-plus years. Each class is comprised of individuals from all sectors of our community, from local businesses, professional, government, service organizations, and Pleasanton residents. In September of each year, roughly 30 individuals participate in monthly, day-long sessions on topics such as Pleasanton history, government, education, recreation, business, public safety, health, and infrastructure. Participants have the opportunity to go behind the scenes with current leaders in the community to learn what makes Pleasanton work.
Online registration for the Leadership Class of 2025 is now open.

While guests are allowed to put out blankets and chairs (at their own risk) in Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks, they are asked to wait until the morning of the concert to do so. New Circulation for Meadowlark Dairy effective June 1, 2024
As it is widely known, the Meadowlark Dairy has had an increase in their ice cream popularity. This has been growing over the years but has reached a point where the line is creating safety and circulation issues that the City of Pleasanton will attempt to address. Starting on June 1 and lasting at least through August 31, the City of Pleasanton, in conjunction with the Dairy and LAVTA, will be implementing the following changes:
- All Dairy Traffic will approach from First Street
- Left turn from Neal into the Dairy will be prohibited (median will be painted and no left turn sign installed)
- New 700-foot stacking lane line created on Neal Street and First Street
- All parking removed from north side of Neal between First Street and the Dairy driveway
- All parking removed adjacent to Lions Wayside Park
- Signs noting “No Parking – Ice Cream Line” will be installed
- Combination of delineators and roadway striping will reinforce and identify the stacking lane
- Westbound 10/10R bus stop relocated to First Street and 10 and 10R buses rerouted to Bernal and Old Bernal. Bus stop will be closed and signs indicating the relocated stop will be installed by LAVTA.
The City of Pleasanton will continue to work with the Meadowlark Dairy and LAVTA to address any issues or concerns that arise with the new circulation pattern.
Any comments or questions can be directed to the City Traffic Engineer, Mike Tassano at mtassano@cityofpleasantonca.gov or (925) 931-5670.
