Pickleball Education Program

From Sharon Falor

Beginning the 13th of February, all levels (beginner thru advance) are welcome to participate in Drills and Skills classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. There has been much interest, and player development has been excellent. So, if you are interested in elevating your game and acquiring skills, plan on attending class from 11:00 to 12:30 on Monday and Wednesdays.

Every class will meet seven times and skill development will build on weekly instruction. Attending class is important to skill acquisition. Instructors will be Esperanza residents and myself, Sharon Welsh Falor.

Thirsty Thursday

It's Happy Hour this week! Thirsty Thursday is this Thursday, 4 pm, at the Ramada. This is an informal gathering of neighbors and friends. No one is hosting. Just BYO drink and an appetizer to share (if you'd like), eating utensils, and we all help clean up. Everyone is welcome. Come on over to the Ramada join us!

From Robin Lockwood

Please join the Hospitality team as we host the Green Valley Optimist Club as they cook their “world famous” Italian sausages for EE’s much anticipated “Sausage Fest” on Tuesday, February 21 at the Ramada.

Dinner will include a sausage on a bun with optional grilled onions and green peppers and sauerkraut. Sides will include coleslaw, chips and cookies for dessert.  As always, the Hospitality committee will provide complimentary beverages including wine, beer, soda, coffee and water.  The cost of this wonderful dinner is $10.00. It is important to remember that this fee is for one full dinner per person. There will not be seconds on sausages offered without an additional cost. The Optimists have committed to cooking 150 sausages, so come early to assure that you will get your sausage.

All profits from this event will go to the Optimist Club to support their work in supporting kids’ programs throughout Green Valley. There will be Optimists Club members available to explain their mission.

Happy Hour will begin at 4:30 and dinner will begin around 5:00, when the sausages are fully cooked.

Book Club

from Linda Sielken
