The Mix on Main Festival
The Downtown Wheaton Association announces The Mix on Main Music Festival, a free music festival Sept. 21-22 throughout downtown Wheaton!
The festival kicks off Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m., with Chris and Nikki of 101.9 The Morning Mix. Local Wheaton vendors will be there, including; 302 Wheaton, Kimmer’s Ice Cream, Maypole Bar + Restaurant, Subourbon, The Babe Bodega, and Wildflower Mercantile!

Wheaton History Bike Tour
Wheaton Bicicylist & Pedestrian Commission host a Bike Tour to learn about the history of Wheaton parks on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 2-4:30 p.m., meeting at the Wheaton Library West Plaza, 225 N. Cross St.
- Open to cyclists of all levels and ages
- Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- All riders must provide their own bicycle and wear a bike helmet

Chicago Scots Kilted Classic
Chicago Scots, the first and oldest non-profit organization in Illinois, is celebrating Scotland’s greatest contribution to the world of sports – golf! – when the 23rd Annual Kilted Classic Golf Tournament returns to Cantigny Golf Club on Thursday, September 26. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 11:00 am. Proceeds benefit Chicago Scots' principal charity, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care. Learn more here.

Family Shelter Services - Come Help Out!
10/1: Eat at Raising Cane's on Roosevelt Rd. Anytime between 12-8pm and mention Family Shelter Service, we will receive 15% of the profits Family Shelter Fundraiser
10/2: We are hosting a donation drive at 2 of our locations. We are collecting items such as: any hygiene products, twin XL sheets, towels, Uber and Lyft gift cards, cleaning products, paper towels, toilet paper, slippers, women and men's underwear. 605 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton drop off from 1-5pm. 7300 Main St., Downers Grove drop off from 3-7pm
10/5: Tabling at the Wheaton farmer's market
10/6: First annual awareness walk, Hope in Every Step. This is a casual, 1mile walk at Herrik Lake in Wheaton, IL on Sunday, 10/6 at 10am. We will have light refreshments and domestic violence awareness swag items available. All ages are invited, including furry friends! Hope in Every Step

Olemec Trails
Discover the intriguing history of the colossal stone heads, masterpieces of the ancient Olmecs, Mesoamerica’s earliest civilization. Diana Martinez, Director of the McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage, will discuss these awe-inspiring sculptures which served as the inspiration for the Olmec Trails public art project, showcasing 33 artists across various locations in DuPage County through October 2024.

SweetChilango Downtown Wheaton!
After continued success in Geneva, Glen Ellyn and Naperville, Bien Trucha Group (BTG) just added Sweetchilango on Front St! as its latest concept following renowned restaurants. Sweetchilango quietly opened to the general public a few weeks ago in the heart of downtown Wheaton, offering a new fast-casual model in which guests can order over the counter via digital kiosks, through their phones by scanning the QR code at each of the tables, or directly from a team member if sitting at the bar.
Sounds delicious, we can't wait to welcome them to the growing Wheaton community!
