Medicaid Call Center

To enhance customer service and provide a dedicated line to enquire about application status, existing coverage, or renewal-related inquiries, Cover Virginia opened a dedicated call center on April 3, 2023. 


Here are a few things to keep in mind:


  • You may only submit one application and one renewal for each call.
  • Up to three cases may be discussed in one conversation.
  • Have the member's entire name, date of birth, full residential address, and social security number when you contact them on their behalf.
  • Your name must be listed as an authorized representative, or someone authorized to receive information about a member’s case. 
  • The member must be on the call as well if your name is not indicated.

Frequently Forgotten Benefits


New Behavioral Health Services that address a crisis in youth mental health care are available to Medicaid recipients. Members who use these new services have access to preventative, community-based solutions, which helps them avoid hospital admissions. These new behavioral health services include:


  • Mobile crisis response teams
  • Short-term crisis supports
  • 23 hours of observation

Patient Access Network Foundation (PAN)


The Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation is an independent, nationwide nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist patients with life-threatening, chronic, and uncommon diseases who are insured by the federal government and private insurance companies with out-of-pocket expenses for their prescribed drugs. Through disease-specific programs, PAN has given more than 1 million patients with inadequate insurance more than $4 billion in financial help since its establishment in 2004.

It's Lupus Awareness Month! It's a time when people with lupus from all over the country get together to raise money for lupus research, care and support services, educational materials, and events, and to increase public awareness of the physical, emotional, and financial effects of the disease.
