Planning for the financial future for your child with a disability is crucial, and it is also one of the most personal experiences a parent can have. It’s not just about planning for the future; it’s planning for a future that you as a parent won’t always be around to help with. The circumstances of your family’s needs may be unusual and require a specialized approach.

In this session, we’ll explore not just how to plan for that financial future with a Special Needs Trust with The Arc of Northern Virginia, but also the personal steps you can take to make the process one you can trust. We’ll look at the process with an eye towards creating trusting relationships with all the parties involved in establishing and maintaining a Special Needs Trust for your loved one.

Our guest presenter this month is presented by Cortney Heykoop, Financial Advisor with Clover Leaf Wealth Strategies, LLC. Cortney has been in the banking and financial services industry since 1999. She graduated from The Catholic University of American in 1998 with a degree in International Economics and Finance. In September of 2018, she opened the doors of Clover Leaf Wealth Strategies.

This year's event will again be an IN-PERSON 5K timed run and 2K fun walk.

PRIDE AT MOSAIC

June 3, 2 - 8:30PM

Join Mosaic’s 2nd Annual Pride Parade on June 3. The parade begins at 2:00pm in front of One Medical and will run all the way down District Ave. to Glass Alley concluding at the Main Stage.

The celebration will continue until 8:30 pm with drag queens, GMU Band, dance performances from Kazaxe, Groovalicious and more!
