A Helping Hand is very excited about making plans for our first trip to Beiliu Orphanage in Guangxi Province, China.
Tentatively, we plan to travel Saturday, November 9 returning Sunday, November 17, 2013.
We anticipate that the cost of this trip will be approximately $3,000 to $3,500 with the bulk of the expense being airfare. As we do more research and make definitive plans for our stay in China, the price may change. This estimated cost includes international airfare, domestic airfare within China, food, lodging, and ground transportation.
This trip to China will be limited to 10 people. While we plan to clean and paint the interior of the orphanage, we also hope to take some people who have medical (specifically Physical and Occupational Therapy) and social work backgrounds (to help train the caregivers of these children).
We will accept a few applications for young adults who are accompanied by a parent; however, we are not able to take children under the age of 14 at this time. This mission is intended as an Orphan Relief mission and not a Heritage Tour. If you are interested in having you and your child participate in a Heritage Tour, please click HERE.
If you are interested in taking part in the First Beiliu Mission, please reply to this e-mail. Upon receipt of your e-mail, we will forward an application that you may fill out and return with a $100 application fee. Once you are approved for the trip, you will need to begin fundraising quickly as flight costs will need to be paid by September and all costs will need to be covered by October.
