New Homeowners Approved

Congratulations to our newest partner families approved for Habitat homes.

Niciole Bates, Ryan Padovani and Avery Padovani

Ryan Padovani, Nicole Bates and their 3-month old son Avery are currently living in a three-bedroom house with eight other people. The dining room of the home had to be converted into an additional bedroom to make space in the crowded house.

"Everyone is stressed and the stress gets passed around," the couple reported. "Thank you so much for this opportunity!"

Juliet Brown
Juliet Brown and her sons 7, and 2, live in a unit where people drink and fight in the halls and play loud music at
all times of the night.

"I was very happy and couldn't believe I was approved on my first (application)," said Brown. "I think this is a start of me trying to better my living for me and my kids."

Habitat for Humanity of  New Castle County continues to seek partner families to join our growing community of new homeowners.

We're inviting interested families to join us at one of our many home ownership seminars to be held throughout 2014.

The next session is:

Cranston Heights Fire Hall

3306 Kirkwood Hwy

Wilmington, DE 19808

An open house will be held after the session from 1-4 p.m. at 93 Vandever Ave, Wilmington, DE 19802.

At the seminars, families and individuals will learn about first-time home ownership and how Habitat's program works to get qualified families into affordable housing.
