Miner's Corner County Park is open and the sidewalks leading to it are finished
Miner's Corner County Park is Snohomish County's first universally designed park where children of all abilities can play side by side. The 13-acre park has been designed and developed to accommodate many needs, contains numerous sensory components and employs full storm water dispersion. The entire park path system is designed to be fully accessible with a maximum grade of 5%.
A large multipurpose lawn area provides opportunities for a variety of informal sports, field games and events. An accessible multipurpose sport court contains a full size high school basketball court, 4-square court and hopscotch.
Additional special features include: a picnic shelter and site power system designed with a solar power array; a custom restroom designed for universal accessibility and special needs users; creative topography and mounds designed to enhance park aesthetics, reduce road noise and enhance the user experience. A ribbon cutting celebration is planned for Saturday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m.

Beavers at the
NW Stream Center
Nov. 15, 7 p.m.
McCollum County Park
Adopt A Stream Foundation, Snohomish County's parks & recreation and surface water management present a FREE showing of the IMAX movie "Beavers."
The film follows the lives of a family of beavers. Watch baby beavers (kits) grow, play and, along with their parents, transform the world around them. This movie has played to more than 14 million viewers and delighted audiences all over the world.

First Annual pumpkins & scarecrows event at
Willis Tucker Park
More than 400 young people enjoyed an afternoon of pumpkins, scarecrows, games and activities at Willis Tucker Park on Oct. 5.
Activities included a hay ride, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin hurl, campfire, "smart phone" scavenger hunt, pumpkin/scarecrow photo shoot, popcorn and hot cider at Willis Tucker County Park.
