SPIRIT: THE SHADOW KNOWS
The Shadow radio program began before I was born and continued during my childhood. It always started with "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" It was followed by a creepy laugh.
Been a long time since. No one knew then about a psycho/spiritual connection to our personal shadow. The shadow is the hidden, unconscious part of ourselves which needs to be brought to the light to be revealed and transformed.
It houses the parts of ourselves we hate. To learn what our shadow can tell us, we need to look for those annoying characteristics in others. If we are upset about someone's aggressiveness, lack of tact, egomania, stupidity, laziness or anything else. Own it! We have that also.
The shadow also holds our brilliant unrecognized parts. If we admire certain positive traits in others, we have those traits as well. Own the intelligence, the creativity, the kindness, the ability to teach, to write, to sell, to organize, or any outstanding gifts or genius that we share with others.
Trump's infantile narcissism and unrefined self-absorption invites us to examine our own areas of selfishness. His ignorance mirrors our blind spots. The fears he ignites and the isolation he promotes inspires us to transmute our own ego-based anxiety. It invites us to merge and become One with All Beings and to courageously and faithfully take the SPIRITUAL HIGH ROAD where Light (enlightenment) prevails.
