Dr. Salehi Receives Outstanding Service Award

Dr. Bahram Salehi was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Service Award from the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) for his remarkable leadership in developing Best Practices and Guidelines for Mapping with UAS (drone) Lidar and Photogrammetry. His contributions have significantly advanced the ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standard for Digital Geospatial Data. The award was presented during the recent Geoweek2024 Conference in Denver, Colorado.

Passport Services Offered at Moon Library

Did you know Moon Library is a U.S. State Department authorized Passport Acceptance Facility? ESF’s certified passport agents can distribute forms, accept completed paperwork, review required documentation, and forward applications to the U.S. regional passport agency in Philadelphia.

Service of Commemoration Honors Those Lost in ’23

Names for Syracuse University’s Service of Commemoration should be submitted to Hendricks Chapel at chapel@syr.edu by Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024. The annual service honors ESF and SU students, faculty, staff, retirees, trustees, and honorary degree recipients who died between Jan. 1, 2023, and the present. 


The Service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Hendricks Chapel. The names of those we have lost will be read and candles will be lit collectively in their memory. The service will include prayer, spoken remarks, and music.

Learn the basics of using Zotero and Mendeley, and save yourself time and effort.

Managing your research articles and citing them can be a time-consuming task. Several tools are available to make it easier, streamline the reading and citation process, and make creating bibliographies easy. Learn how to use these tools.
