Dear 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
PRMS had a great start to the 2024-2025! Our students and teachers are already in top form. I spent the majority of first two weeks visiting classrooms and welcoming everyone to a new school year. Needless to say, I am continually impressed with the entire student body of Park Ridge Junior/Senior High School.
This year, we will be hosting Back to School Night for the 7th and 8th grades on Thursday, September 26th. The agenda will begin with all 8th grade parents reporting to the gymnasium by 7:00 pm to meet their child’s Physical Education class (period 1/2). Please check ‘Power School’ or ask your child for the location of their period 3/4 class where teachers will have copies of schedules to serve as a guide for the remainder of the evening.
Back to School Night is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, who will outline their program of study and learning ideals for the school year. They will also provide a course syllabus, classroom rules and expectations, grading policies, and extra help procedures. Please keep in mind that teachers are not able to discuss individual progress in class during Back to School Night. If there are specific questions regarding your child’s performance, you may contact teachers through email, voicemail or arrange for an appointment through the Guidance Office.
The PRHS staff is excited to welcome you into the building and discuss with you the many wonderful learning opportunities that will be offered to your children this school year.
