Graduating Seniors 2024

Is your Methodist Temple child or grandchild graduating from high school or college this year? We would love to know! Please click here to let us know AND send a recent picture of your graduate to operations@methodisttemple.church. The deadline to submit your information is TODAY Wednesday, May 15th.

We will be recognizing our Methodist Temple graduating seniors on Sunday, May 19th during our combined worship service at 10:00am.

Blessing of the Flip Flops

We will be having a combined 10 a.m. service on May 19th with Sunday school at 9 a.m. Make sure to wear your flip flops for our annual Blessing of the Flip Flops. On your way out stop by Lollys Pops for a sweet treat.

We cannot wait for this year's Vacation Bible School - OPERATION RESTORATION!! Mondays, June 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. we'll help children learn to work together, share their gifts, and strive to build each other up! Methodist Temple VBS is open to any child who will be entering Kindergarten through entering 5th grade for the 2024-2025 school year. Register Today!

Preschooler Play Dates

Calling all moms of preschoolers! Join us on Monday, May 20th at 5:30pm in the Temple Time room for a fun playdate at the church. Your little ones can interact and play while you connect with other mothers in the Methodist Temple community. Come enjoy some quality time together and form new friendships. We hope to see you there!

Ladies' Night Out Events are Back!

Our Ladies' Night Out events will be held this summer on Fridays, June 7, July 12, and August 2. Each evening outing will begin at 6:00pm. Join us for our first evening out at Haynie's Corner! Come enjoy a restful evening of fun and fellowship!

Women's Summer Book Study

Join Cass Brusie for a women's study on Sunday evenings June 16, June 23 and June 30 from 4:30pm-6:30pm in the Parlor. We'll be using Nijay K. Gupta's book "Tell Her Story" to guide our conversations. Come learn about the early women of the church and their important roles through this 3-week summer study!

Mountain Mission Pick Up

Mountain Mission will be coming to pick up items on Monday, June 3rd. Please make sure all donations have been dropped off before that date.

Book of Revelation Study

Join Rev. Dr. Shane O'Neill, a retired Presbyterian pastor who attends Methodist Temple and sings in the choir, for a mid-week Bible Study on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30am in the Parlor. This study will begin on Wednesday, June 5th and will run through Wednesday, Aug 14th. Please enter through Door A (Office entrance) located at 2109 Lincoln Avenue.

This is a discussion-oriented Bible study guided by Dr. O'Neill. Please bring a good study Bible and an open mind! Contact Dr. O'Neill at oneillshane38@gmail.com with any questions.

Looking for Volunteers

Our landscaping company does a fantastic job with our church landscaping, however, we are looking for volunteers to help with minor upkeep and maintenance. If this is something you are interested in, please call the church office at 812-476-1306.

Youth Spotlight...

The youth will be serving our community this Sunday as they volunteer with the Highlander Challenger League starting at 12:30pm.

Our SAM's Ministry offers exercise classes every Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning at 9am in the Celebration Center. No registration is needed.

The next SAM's Luncheon will take place Thursday, May 16th, at 11:30am. Reserve your spot at Connection Central, Too! The price for this luncheon is $10/person.
