ENLISTED
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12
Do you realize that as follower of Christ, you are enlisted for warfare?
There are many Christians who believe that Jesus did everything for them when He went to the cross, so they don’t have to do anything. But Paul repeated many time in his letters to the churches that believers were to “fight the good fight of faith” and “wage the good warfare.” So we must have a part to play in the battle.
There is an enemy roaming about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We don’t need to be fearful of this enemy, but sober and aware. If we are naïve or passive against his schemes, we lose!
We are called to fight in this war. We don’t fight from a place of trying to accomplish victory, but from a place of standing victorious because of the finished work of Jesus! Through His death and resurrection, Jesus disarmed the powers of hell and the keys were taken. And you and I, the ones who were dead in our sin, have been set free from sin and death and have been raised up with Jesus and seated together with Him in heavenly places to join Him in executing the work! Hallelujah!
How do we do fight? Well, we've been equipped. We have been given massive, powerful, mighty weapons for this war; The Word of God and praying in the Spirit.
When we use these two weapons in our lives, they bring change to the biggest place of warfare; our minds.
When I pray in tongues and declare the living Word of God, strongholds and arguments are brought down in my heart and mind.
When I declare the Word over my life, I am renewing my mind to truth.
When I pray in tongues, the spirit of revelation is touching my heart and mind and I come into truth against the negative plans of the enemy both from within and without.
Take your weapons and use them. Ready, aim, fire!
Declaration to Life: I will use my power weapons to fight the good fight of faith. Thank you Jesus, for the work you completed on the cross and in your resurrection. Thank you Holy Spirit for the tools and strategies you give me to exercise authority over the enemy and my flesh. You enable me to stand and fight the good fight!
