Loving father of Jessica. Longtime significant partner of Chris Caufield. Beloved son of John and the late Kinko. Dear brother of Virginia (Randy) Wheeler, Kathleen Dimitri. Cherished uncle to Katrina, Tabitha (Jordan), Cody, Devon, Tasha, Haili, Gabriel, Gatlin & Triniti. Great uncle of Leon & Lilah. Funeral Saturday, December 15th, 2 PM at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home Visitation Saturday from 12 noon till time of service 2 PM Thank you for keeping the Piippo family in your thoughts and prayers at this time. Message from Vic Bondi (MCAS President) regarding disposition of John's fish: Today, Tony Golembiewski and I had some discussions on the subject. Before and after his message I also discussed the matter with John's sister, Kathy (Piippo) Dimitri (aka catsville) of Manton, Michigan. Here's the plan: The first order of business (this coming Sunday) is to move or liquidate the entire inventory of live goods. This action will relieve the pressure of taking proper care of them. Approximately one week later ... you will be advised when, we will handle liquidation of the remaining equipment. In the meantime, Tony and I will develop an inventory of the hardware and other goods. Tony, Kathy and I agreed to the following. Metro Detroit hobbyists are invited to come to the estate of John Piippo on Sunday, December 16th at 1:30 PM. His one bedroom apartment is at: 7528 Merriman, apt 102, Westland, MI 48185-2446. The live goods at hand are said to be mostly African Cichlids, some South American Cichlids, including Angelfish, a few live bearers, etc. It is believed there are approximately 12 to 15 tanks. They range in sizes from one 200 gallon; three 55 gallons; "some" 20 gallons and a five or six "smaller" tanks. Hobbyists are requested to arrive at the apartment complex at 1:30 PM. Depending on the number of perspective buyers we may have to draw lots as to who and how many persons will be allowed in the apartment. Once inside you may select your goods and pay one of the management team a fair and reasonable price for the goods. All proceeds will be given to the family to help defray their costs of the funeral, etc. Due to the mature size of some of the livestock, you are encouraged to bring along proper containers, i.e., buckets and/or styros. Perspective buyers are not to enter the premises without the express permission of the management team. All inquiries should be directed to Tony Golembiewski at (248) 982-3576 or Vic Bondi at (586) 996-9917. |
