Dear Acalanes Community,
Happy New Year and welcome back. Our semester closed prior to break and I hope all of you enjoyed a school and work free vacation.
Semester Grades
Semester grades can be checked on the Aeries Pass Portal using log in information established at the beginning of the year. You can access semester grades and view your child's current transcript by clicking the “Grades” tab. Each student’s semester grade report was also mailed home today (1/8/21) and should arrive by Monday or Tuesday.
In-Person Hybrid Schedule Group Information
Last month, all families received a commitment letter confirmation including their choice to stay fully remote or to opt into hybrid in-person learning. Students have been assigned a group corresponding to their confirmed preference. Based on your selection of either in-person hybrid instruction or fully-remote instruction, your student has been placed in one of four student groups: A, B, AC or BC. Student groups A and B will have in-person instruction two days a week (see schedules below) and student groups AC and BC will have fully-remote instruction. You can view your student’s group via the Aeries Pass Portal:
-
Log into the Aeries Portal
- Select the “Student Info” tab
- Select the “Demographics” tab
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the box labeled “Sched Grp”
You will also notice that your each group will follow a specific class schedule:
We will not implement our hybrid in-person bell schedule until we are in the Red Tier. Communication will be sent from the district and from the site once we are close to approaching the Red Tier. Please note, until we implement the hybrid in-person bell schedule, we will continue to follow our current distance learning bell schedule.
Dons Dialogue
Mark your calendars and register for our first Dons Dialogue of the 2021 calendar year next Friday, January 11. This parent forum will review student cohort survey results from last semester, a chance to hear from our LPIE funded TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) focused on school culture and equity, COVID and Athletics Updates, and a Physical Education department report. You can register using this webinar link.
I hope your student has had a positive start to the semester and I thank you for your continued support of Acalanes.
Acalanes Community Always,
Travis Bell
