In recognition of National Volunteer Month, I'd like to describe how Shorewood's City Council Members work together to serve you and highlight ways you can get involved with the City of Shorewood.
Held in April every year, National Volunteer Month is a time to celebrate and recognize the contributions of volunteers. Thank you to all of the volunteers who have helped at events, served on boards and committees, and participated in projects. Attending City Council Meetings
Shorewood City Council Members serve part-time. We focus on policy and oversight, while city staff members focus on day-to-day operations. We encourage resident involvement in not just meetings and commissions, but also to engage with us at open houses to discuss topics such as road improvement projects, as well as to get involved with volunteer projects, like last weekend's Freeman Park Cleanup.
The City Council meets on the second and fourth Monday each month at 7:00 pm at Shorewood City Hall. Our meetings are filmed by the Lake Minnetonka Communication Commission (LMCC). Videos of the meetings are posted on LMCC's website.
