Wildwood Middle High School Mentor Program
New Covenant’s Mentor Program annually has 35 - 45 Mentors working with Mentees from ninth to twelfth grade, primarily at Wildwood Middle High School.
New Mentors Needed
Our current Mentors “move up” with their Mentees each year, but due to how well-received the program continues to be, we have more students who are asking for Mentors. Each year, we recruit adults who have a heart for teenagers and a sincere desire to provide love, patience, guidance, and support over a period of four years as the Mentee journeys from ninth grade through graduation. The Mentor Program focuses on four foundational areas: physical, spiritual, behavioral, and academic/career needs.
If God is leading you to this special program please read the overview and submit your application to Olivia Collins, Student Minister. If you have any questions, please contact Olivia.

Legacy Giving Reminder
The Legacy Fund, formerly known as the Endowment Fund, provides members and friends of the church the opportunity to make charitable gifts that became a permanent fund to support ministries and growth long into the future.
The Legacy Fund continues to be an opportunity for a “Planned Gift” by giving now or by way of your will, trust, or one of many other options, and making a gift from your IRA may provide a tax advantage.
We invite you to consider the Legacy Fund as you review your own planned giving.

The Good Samaritan
Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. (Luke 10:33-34)
In the New Testament there is no recording of Jesus ever telling his disciples to collect the tithe from his followers. He never told anybody to pay 10% of their income. What he DID say was that we should help one another, be good to one another. If someone has a need and you can help them, do it. Not because you hope you can get something back from it, but because it's the right thing to do. The good Samaritan is a perfect story to illustrate this approach.

New Covenant Name Badges and ID Cards
One of the ways it is helpful to get to know people’s names is by wearing a name tag! Our pastors love to call people by their name during greeting and in communion time, so please make a point of wearing your name tag. If you don’t have one, you can purchase one online or visit the Computer Center after worship services.
Everywhere you go, you have an ID card — whether it is the gym, the grocery store, or a rec center. An important part of being hospitable is scanning your New Covenant ID card when you come in. This helps us know you are present at worship or at events. It is great when we get to learn names this way or know you have been here. In a large church, it can be easy to feel lost but this helps the pastors and staff know you. You can get an ID card on the weekends at the Computer Center or during the week at the Administration office. To order a name badge online, please use the link below.
