June 2024

As we were ready to send this newsletter to you, the conviction of President Trump on all 34 counts was announced. Outrageous! You will be hearing much more about how MRW will continue to support him going forward. In the meantime...

Message from the President by Charli Thyne

The trial of President Trump was the ultimate move in election interference. “Lawfare” is too benign a term. It’s nothing short of warfare.

Judge Juan Merchan is totally corrupt as evidenced by his instructions to the jury. He undercut the defense at every turn. When has a jury ever been tasked with determining the crime the defendant allegedly committed? What happened to our judicial system and rule of law? Thank the good Lord above that we still have the appellate system.

This farce should infuriate both independents and undecideds. What the Left didn’t prepare for is that now Trump's base is super-charged and energized. Guess what, Soros, Bragg & Merchan: You have just provoked and galvanized the sleeping giant in the United States!

We need to vanquish the evil forces that are trying to destroy our country, the wicked people whose mission in life is to see Donald Trump in prison. President Trump can never get a fair trial. However, the real trial will happen on November 5, 2024.

Bottom line – May 30, 2024 was the biggest fund-raising day for President Donald J. Trump!

We are fighters! We will win at the ballot box! Stay the course and never surrender!

Action alert: "My Faith Votes"

Looking for a way to help President Trump that doesn't require you to leave your house? We urge every MRW member to do this, WRITE NOW:

This year, 25 million Christians won’t vote—unless we act.

That’s why we are asking you to pre-register for My Faith Votes’ 2024 Write Now campaign. In just four simple steps, you can participate in a campaign that has proven to get out the Christian vote.

All you have to do is print a pre-written letter, write a brief note of encouragement at the bottom, then fold the letter and stuff an envelope, address and stamp it, and then pray over the recipient.  That’s it!

Get all the information about what to do here.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Moore Republican Women members revere and honor those who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice.

As always, we donated a beautiful wreath. MRW's Sandi Carl and Lisa Sheridan presented it at the Memorial Day ceremony on May 25 at the Moore County Veterans Cemetery in Carthage.

We can never honor these heroes enough.

May luncheon highlights

Kyshia Brassington, North Carolina's representative to the Republican National Committee, updated us on doings at the RNC. She warned that people may feel complacent about NC being a "red" state, but in fact it will take all hands on deck to ensure we elect President Trump.

Iris Angle, Founder, Survivors of Suicide Support Group in Southern Pines, shared the mission of this organization. The group meets at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines the first Tuesday of each month, 6 - 8 p.m.

Ralph Redmon, beloved long-time MRW Associate, celebrated his 98th birthday with us with a special cake and lots of applause and love.

Supporting President Trump with local rallies

It was short notice and a rainy day - but Moore County Republicans (including many MRW members) came out to show support for President Trump on May 4.

We're going to hold another rally soon - especially important now after Donald Trump's sham "conviction." Start gathering your MAGA and other patriotic gear and stay tuned!

Moore Campaign Theater Series off to great start

At the inaugural Moore Campaign Theater event on May 6, a sold-out crowd enjoyed the movie, "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," starring Jimmy Stewart. The inspiring story of a naive, newly-appointed US Senator who fights against government corruption never grows old or out of fashion!

Cleta Mitchell was the featured speaker at this event and spoke about her time in Washington, concluding that nothing much has changed since the corruption depicted in the movie.

The next in the series takes place on June 3 and features the movie "A Letter to American Churches." It is SOLD OUT!
