Complete the NYC School Survey by Friday, April 5th

The NYC School Survey provides families and students the opportunity to have their voices heard regarding their experiences in their schools. Surveys are now available to be completed. Please note that the deadline for completion is Friday, April 5th. Surveys can be completed in one of the following ways:

  • Online- Families can take the survey online via computer or mobile device at NYCSchoolSurvey.org in any of the nine NYCPS-supported languages.
  • Paper- Paper surveys were sent home with students via backpack recently. You may complete your paper survey and have your child return it to their homeroom teacher.

We will be rewarding the first three classes with full completion rates with a pizza party! In addition, the house with the highest completion rate will have an afternoon of fun in the yard!

Please know that the administrative team reviews survey results carefully and thoroughly as part of our planning and preparation for the following school year. Your voices and the voices of your children are important to us. We do our best each year to act on the feedback we receive to ensure our students and families have the best possible middle school experience. Responses are anonymous so please do take this opportunity to share your thoughts with us!

Marking Period Two Report Card Distribution Friday, March 22nd!

Please be aware that marking period two report cards will be distributed on Friday, March 22nd during end of day homeroom. Report cards will also be available to be viewed in your NYC Schools Account after they have been distributed. Please be sure to check with your child after school on Friday for a hard copy of the report card.

Great work in marking period two! Lets finish the year strong!

Marking Period Two Honor Roll Celebrations

We are excited to recognize our students that qualified for honor roll for making period two! Students that qualify for honor roll will have a letter placed in their report card envelopes. As a reminder, students must have an overall average of 95% or above, with no grade in any class being less than a 90% in order to make the Honor Roll.

Our honor roll celebrations will take place as follows:

Monday, March 25- Grade 6

Tuesday, March 26- Grades 7 & 8

Ceremonies will begin at 3 PM and will start in the auditorium. All honor roll students will report to the auditorium at dismissal. Families and loved ones are invited to attend these celebrations as we recognize the academic achievements of students. All guests may enter the building through the main entrance.

After all students have been recognized, students and families and loved ones are invited to the cafeteria for coffee and treats.

We look forward to celebrating our students next week!

Summer Rising Application is Open

The application for Summer Rising is open through Monday, March 25th. All applications will be entered through the MySchools platform. To learn how to access and/or create a MySchools account, as well as learn more information about the program, please see this FLYER.

All applications will be considered at the same time once the application window closes, not on a first come first served basis.

All host sites will be listed in the application and families can list multiple sites that they would be willing for their child to attend.

Our Annual Fund is our primary source of fundraising. Your support will be more crucial than ever this year as our school faces unprecedented budget cuts and increased student need. Please give what you can.
