Take and Makes for May

Enjoy the fun of a library program from the comfort of your home! Visit any library location to pick up a kit while supplies last. New kits will be released on May 1.


February's Crafts:

  • Preschool, 3-5: Paper Tube Bee Craft
  • Kids, 6-11: Pom Pom Shooter
  • Teens, 12-18: Paracord Flower Bracelet

Come have some fun at the Teen Self-Care Fair (Ages 12-18) from 12-3 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Central Library. Activities include Thai Chi, therapy dogs, creative art projects, free treats for teens, a 60-foot inflatable obstacle course, and much more!

Bugs, planting, and reading, oh my!


Join us in celebrating the spring growing season at the Mesa County Libraries Discovery Garden, 517 Chipeta Ave! We will search for bugs, plant the flowers that will grow into a shady reading nook, and plant seeds to take home.

Sensory Storytime


Kids and caregivers, join us for a storytime specially designed for individuals who are neurodiverse and/or have sensory needs. Our structured storytime includes singing, interactive activities, and reading from one of our Youth Services library workers. Lights will be dimmed and sound limited.

Teen Time: Peeps Laboratory

4-5:30 p.m., Friday, April 26

Central Library


Gather your peeps and join us for a sweet time! This event is an open laboratory of creation with the iconic little chicken and bunny marshmallows. Paint them! Glue them! Melt them! Or just eat them, the choice is yours. All supplies will be provided, and this event is free to attend.
