What a year it's been. As we reflect on this, I am sure you are doing the same. We will end this year with our own rendition of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" written by our very own Amanda.
Twas March 2020,
and around FGS,
All the employees were stirring,
Preparing their best.
All the plants they were placed
On the tables with care.
In hopes that our customers would
Soon would be there.
Then what to our
wondering eyes should appear,
A terrible virus,
And toilet paper shortage fears.
We sprang into action,
So lively and quick,
And created online shopping so
The plants you could pick.
And more rapid than eagles,
buy plants you did,
As our staff tried to keep up,
Lest we run out, God forbid!
And so higher and higher
Our plant sales they flew
Going from our carts to fill
All your vehicles, too!
Down the mandates, they came
With announcements galore.
So we put on our gloves,
And sanitized all the store.
We complained not a word,
But went straight to our tasks,
And each of us happily
Put on our masks.
And through all the madness,
We managed to bring
You all the gorgeous,
Happy, green living things.
And please hear us exclaim
As we now take a rest,
“Merry Christmas to all,
You guys are the BEST!”
