Business Spotlight: Woof's Play & Stay

Woof's started in 2008 with the first location in Merriam, since growing to 11 locations across Kansas and Missouri. Woof's offers dog daycare, boarding and grooming services, as well as a small selection of local collars, leashes, treats and clothing.

Woof's has been recognized as the best dog daycare, best dog boarding and best grooming by KC Magazine, The Pitch, 435 Magazine, Johnson County Magazine, and many others. They were also recognized as having the most recognizable pet store vehicle in the country by Pet Boarding and Daycare Magazine.

What makes Merriam a good choice for your business?

Owner, Andy Wiltz says, "Merriam is an ideal location for Woof's. Not only is it convenient with major streets going through, but we were also able to expand our original building to add Woof's headquarters here in Merriam rather than another location."

What is the best piece of business advice you have been given, or could offer to a new business owner?

"Ask. If you want something, ask. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes it's no, and other times it's not yet, but you'll never know unless you ask."
