Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars | Congratulations to Juniors Joie Blakey and Carrington Wash for their outstanding accomplishment of being selected as Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars! This year’s review cycle was the most competitive to date. The Summer Scholars program provides scholarships for talented female high school students to participate in a summer academic program at one of the organization’s partner programs – some of the most rigorous and selective colleges and universities in the country. Track & Field Breaks School Records |
Congratulations to Track & Field team which set 21 personal records, broke four school records that have been standing since 1979, and took home the runners-up trophy competing against over 33 schools at the Farmington Invitational!
4x4 Relay - Taryn Henderson, Nora Gerzema,Cree Hollier, Jenna Buchan: 3:59.78 which was previously a 4:05.4. Mercy 4x4 is currently the 2nd fastest in the state!

Special Health Sciences Program Acceptance |
Congratulations to Jennifer Akabuo '25 who has been accepted into the University of Michigan's Health Sciences Pre-College Exposure Academy (SPEA). SPEA is a 3 week program at the University of Michigan that will include workshops in biomedical science, health equity, college preparedness and academic well-being.

Mercy's NHS Class of 23 has donated over 100 'Blessing Bags' to the Detroit Street Mission. Blessing Bags are gallon sized bags filled with items such as personal hygiene needs, socks and snack items. Every bag includes a handwritten note of inspiration. The bags are distributed every Sunday by the Detroit Street Mission to the overwhelming large number of homeless in Detroit. Thank you, NHS '23! | |

The Mercyaires and students welcomed members of Maize Mirchi, award winning South Asian inspired a cappella group from the University of Michigan. You're invited to the Mercy HS Spring Concert "Tributes" on Tuesday, May 16 at 7:00pm in the Mercy HS Rosemary Clooney Auditorium.
We will commemorate and remember Mr. Larry Teevens†, Former Vocal Music Director, for the lasting impact he has had on Mercy High School. As a special tribute to Mr. Teevens† at the end of the Concert, we welcome all former Mercyaires to join our current Mercyaires on stage for the final blessing and traditional arrangement of "Ave Maria." We will also honor our dear Instrumental Music Director, Ms. Marianne Corrigan, who will be retiring at the end of this school year and send our Class of 2023 Seniors off with good wishes.
Please join us and bring your families and friends for an evening of Choral music, chamber orchestra, solos, small groups and the Mercyaires. Donations are gratefully appreciated and an Afterglow gathering will conclude the evening.

physicals that meet MHSAA requirements. The physicals include:
• Complete medical history evaluation
• Orthopedic/sports medicine consultations
• ECGs for student-athletes ages 14+

PERFORMING ARTS SUMMER CAMP FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL | |
Tell your Grade 6-9 (Fall 2023) friends about our musical theater camp! Students will be immersed into the world of musical theatre as they sing, dance, and perform the day away. All skill levels welcome. Students will get the opportunity to perform solos, in small groups, and in large ensemble pieces.

Book Buyback
The BNC-Virtual Online Buyback allows students to recoup some of the money they spent on books that they no longer need. Online buyback is a service provided automatically in the online bookstore, ensuring students have a convenient and easy way to sell back their books anytime, anywhere. Starting a week before the end of classes, students will receive buyback notices that list the books they have purchased from the online bookstore and the sell back price for each. Student can also sell back titles to us that they acquired elsewhere. Check out the quick how-to video here.
Rosary Wednesdays
We pray the Most Holy Rosary every Wednesday before school in our beautiful Mercy HS Chapel. Start your day with this powerful prayer offered at 7:25am every Wednesday morning. Rosaries and prayer cards will be available. Please feel free to join us, all are welcome!
Spirit Choir
Calling all Mercy staff and students - WE NEED ALL VOICES! Join us for Spirit Choir on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30am in the music room before school.
