The Parks, Recreation Youth and Community Services Department Office and the Dennis Malone Aquatics Center (DMAC) will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2024.

BPRYCS would like to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. We invite community members to visit Quinlan Park and Veteran's Memorial Boulevard to honor those who have served and to take a moment of silence to remember and honor their selfless service.

Ceremonies and observances for Memorial Day:

• Forestville Memorial Day Parade: Sunday, May 26th at 2:00 PM
• Rain Date: Monday, May 27th at 2:00 PM
• The Forestville Memorial Day Parade is sponsored by the American Legion Post 209, the parade will take place in Forestville.
• Memorial Day Procession and Ceremony: Monday, May 27th at 10:00 AM
• The Memorial Day Ceremony will be hosted at the Gazebo on Veterans Memorial Boulevard by the Bristol Veterans Council and American Legion Post 2.
• Dedication of the POW/MIA Monument: Monday, May 27th at 12:00 PM
• The recently completed POW/MIA monument on Memorial Boulevard will be dedicated following the Memorial Day Procession and Ceremony.

We encourage community members to participate in the Walking Monument Audible Tour on Veterans Memorial Boulevard (pictured). Simply scan the QR code in front of each monument with the camera on your phone to learn more about the Bristol Residents who served and the history behind their recognition in Bristol!
