Stay Connected. We're advocating for you!
North San Antonio Chamber Members and Partners,

One of the NSAC pillars is workforce and business development. The NSAC's Workforce Development Council, chaired by Aaron Asel, has closely monitored City of San Antonio workforce initiatives focused on recovery efforts, in addition to the recently passed Ready to Work SA Initiative. We continue to collaborate with the City's Economic Development Office and Workforce Solutions Alamo to help identify workforce solutions for employers. Please see the Workforce Council report below for more information.

In efforts to address the current job demand of our member businesses, NSAC members benefit from the ability to post jobs through the online portal found on our Membership Information Center (MIC). Contact errodriguez@northsachamber.com or view this document for more steps on how to post job openings.

As we work together to reopen Texas, we continue to hear from employers about the difficulty to return to full staffing levels. This challenge is not from a lack of jobs to fill but factors including extended UI benefits and supplemental stimulus payments.
The North SA Chamber is working with its partners, the Texas Association of Business (TAB) and the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE), to get Texans back to work. A first step is to understand the impact our members are facing. Please help us by:

1. Sharing your experiences recruiting employees and returning to full operations by completing this survey. The deadline for completion of the survey is May 7, 2021.
2. Share any stories, challenges, or insights on the topic with us. You can email them to caldrete@northsachamber.com
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your help.

Sincerely,
Membership Video Series

One of the considerable tasks facing the 2020 and 2021 Chairs of the North SA Chamber, David Pope and Trey Dawson, respectively, was the response to the pandemic, with a goal in 2021 to help businesses re-build and re-open. As a chamber, we are looking forward to re-engaging with our members and growing our membership, which is why we produced this video series. We are excited to share these videos as we reflect on the previous year and look forward to what is to come.
