The City of Canton celebrates 190 years of service to our community.  In 1925 the Canton Chamber of Commerce was established and sponsored Canton's Centennial Celebration.  We aimed to honor the past, and build upon the future as we proudly present Canton's Centennial Celebration video. The video will be available for purchase for $5 at our office and also at our Business After Hours Thursday, May 7th at White Oaks Sports Bar.

RESIDENTIAL HOUSING SURVEY

The Residential Housing Committee (RHC) of The Spoon River Partnership for Economic Development (SRPED) was created in 2014 to serve as a clearinghouse for thoughtful and attainable solutions to the housing challenges facing current and future residents of Canton, Illinois.

To best understand how citizens of Canton view the city's current housing needs, the RHC is asking interested citizens to participate in a brief fact-finding Residential Housing Survey. Each opinion and comment is important and will contribute toward identifying opportunities our community faces --- moving forward together as a community --- to build, re-establish, and strengthen our neighborhoods as safe, affordable, and attractive living spaces.

The survey can be completed on line by using the following link.   Click Here

The RHC would like to ask that you share the survey link with your e-mail list serves and on your social media sites. Our committee would like as much participation as possible. The survey is also available to print out on the SRPED side of cantontillinois.org. Please encourage completion of the survey any chance you get at your clubs, organizations, businesses and with your friends and neighbors.

For hard copy completion please mail or drop off your RESIDENTIAL HOUSING SURVEY by May 1st to Edward Jones, 205 East Locust, Canton, IL 61520.

For more information regarding the Residential Housing Survey please contact Missy Towery at 309-647-2677 extension 2 or Email
