PEP Member News | September 2021
Dear PEP Members:

I hope all of you are enjoying the beginning of fall! I am looking forward to cooler temperatures and sunny skies. I have some exciting updates to our event calendar. We changed dates and formats for some of our annual in-person events, so please read closely and note these changes.

  • September Membership Breakfast has been canceled, but we hope you will make plans to join us on November 18.
  • Our annual Reverse Trade Show and Education Seminar have moved to December 2, 2021, at Fort Whiting.
  • We have combined our Annual Meeting and PEP Awards with our Member Luncheon on December 9. At this luncheon, Mayor Sandy Simpson will provide his update and our annual Environmental Stewardship Awards will be presented to PEP Members.

You don't have to wait until December to find out the winners of our Environmental Stewardship Awards! Below is a special video highlighting their innovative projects and achievements. Enjoy!

As always, thank you for your support!

MOBILE COUNTY RECYCLING CENTER NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
Like so many local businesses, the Mobile County Recycling Center (MCRC) is short-staffed. They desperately need volunteers to help sort and process all the recycling at the center. This is an excellent opportunity for PEP members to deploy their Service/Volunteer Committees to help! For more information or sign up, contact Lydia at (251) 380-7150 or lgaudet@goodwillgc.org. You can also sign up at VolunteerMatch.org.

You can also help by following the MCRC sorting guidelines if you utilize the recycling center, so your drop-off is fast and efficient!
PEP EVENTS
PEP's Reverse Trade Show has a new date! Please plan to join us as we return to an in-person format for our popular industrial reverse trade show. COVID-19 has likely impacted your ability to meet face-to-face with current and future customers. Join us at the PEP Reverse Trade Show at Fort Whiting this fall to build your business momentum once again.
We are taking two great events and rolling them up into one super event. Join us on Thursday, December 9th at the Mobile Marriott from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for PEP’s 21st Annual Meeting & Awards presentation featuring keynote speaker Mayor Sandy Stimpson! Tables and individual tickets will go on sale on September 28.
