PEP Member News | October 2022

PEP logo on Mobile skyline background

Dear PEP Members:

I hope you have had a chance to enjoy this amazing weather we have had lately. September ended with an exceptional Annual Meeting and Environmental Stewardship Awards program. Please see the video link below that highlights the award-winning projects. For the first time, PEP is calculating the total greenhouse gas reductions as a result of the projects selected for the 2022 Environmental Stewardship Awards. These projects combined resulted in a decrease of 66,547 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions last year. According to EPA calculations, this is equivalent to taking 14,466 cars off the road yearly, which is 3.7% of vehicles registered in Mobile County!

I hope to see each of you at our Reverse Trade Show on October 20. On the morning of October 20, we will also have our free educational seminar which will focus on Airbus’s path to Zero Waste Certification, new innovations in carbon sequestration and other sustainability topics.

As always, thank you for your support!

Jennifer Denson, Executive Director
