Huge thank you to TC Boiler & Piping staff for leading the A Cause to Clean - Causeway Cleanup event this past weekend. We had more than 50 volunteers come out to clean up litter along the western end of the Causeway.

I hope you will join us TODAY for a Member Social event at 4 p.m. at Old Majestic Brewing. You will be able to connect with the PEP Board of Directors and other members. Do you have colleagues from your office that are not familiar with PEP? Bring them as your guest! Do you have colleagues from other companies that are not PEP members? Earth Day at Lightning Point

Governor Kay Ivey along with many local and state community leaders recently celebrated a ribbon-cutting for the Lightning Point Restoration Project, hosted by The Nature Conservancy. The Lightning Point Restoration Project has revitalized an important waterfront area for the city of Bayou La Batre by restoring and protecting shoreline habitats and improving community access for recreation and fishing. In 2022, PEP recognized the project with a Community Partner Award to The Nature Conservancy and Moffett & Nichol. PEP also donated funds for two benches along the walking path so visitors can enjoy the beautiful view!

WKRG Growing the Gulf Coast: AM/NS Calvert Gives Back to the Gulf Coast

PEP member, AM/NS Calvert, was recently recognized by the Wildlife Habitat Council for reaching their gold standard of environmental stewardship in under three years, a process that normally takes at least four years. AM/NS sits on approximately 1,000 acres of undeveloped forest and wetlands. Since 2019, their employees have spearheaded several projects that have helped them achieve this gold standard. WKRG's Caroline Carithers recently visited the plant to see the AM/NS environmental stewardship projects and how they are Growing the Gulf Coast!
