The good times are rolling in Mobile, and so are things at PEP!

Our 2023 Environmental Stewardship Awards Application just opened, with a deadline of March 31, 2023. I invite companies of all sizes to apply to be recognized at our annual meeting on September 7, 2023. You will find more information below on past winners and how to apply.

I'm excited to share that the 23rd Annual Golf Tournament Registration and Sponsorship information is now available! We can't wait to welcome everyone back to Magnolia Grove Golf Course on May 12, 2023 to support the PEP mission and core beliefs.

Along with our membership breakfasts and lunch and learns, you also don't want to miss the other great things we have been working on, including:

• PEP Science and Technology Scholarship Application, which is open now until March 31;
• Clay Shoot, set for April 6;
• Spring Member Social;
• Litter Cleanups;
• and more!

We are also looking for members to serve on our standing committees. You will find more information on our committees, including what they do and when they meet, below and on our website. This is a great way to network and get your young professionals engaged in PEP!

PEP COMMITTEES - WE NEED YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT YEAR

PEP’s volunteer committees are essential to planning the events and activities that achieve our mission and improve the value of membership. Serving on a committee is also a great way for you to expand your network. And don’t forget your colleagues: this can also be a great opportunity to engage your employees, especially your young professionals, with PEP and to help them gain new experiences and skills. This is not just for your environmental professionals - we need all kinds of expertise on our committees – marketing, communications, purchasing (RTS), social butterflies (development), etc.

APPLY FOR THE 2023 ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AWARDS

PEP Environmental Stewardship Awards are open now until March 31st. This is a great opportunity for you to highlight the beneficial impacts that your company has contributed to our local environment. You may nominate your own company, a group project or another company.

Businesses of all sizes have won this award based on the project’s innovation, not simply the overall size. The awards will be presented at PEP’s Annual Meeting on September 7th. We will publicly promote your company and your achievements through local media outreach, social media, our website and more, as well as create a special award video for the recipient projects.

You can visit our website to learn more about the award eligibility and download the award application. Remember - the deadline to apply is March 31st at 5 p.m.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD PRESENTED TO MIKE WILSON

The PEP Board of Directors recently honored Mike Wilson, Engineering Manager at BASF Corporation, with a Distinguished Service Award for his service on the Board from 2017-2022. We thank Mike for his time and dedication to our mission!

PEP SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION NOW OPEN

If you or your children are attending college or graduate school, be sure to consider the PEP scholarship program! This scholarship is designated for local employees of PEP member companies and dependents. The application for the 2023 PEP Scholarship is open from December 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023. MOBILE CHAMBER'S 186TH ANNUAL MEETING

The Mobile Chamber's 186th Annual Meeting, "Building Mobile's Golden Age," presented by Trustmark, will take place Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mobile Cruise Terminal. The event includes a short, energetic program, followed by a fun evening of networking.

CATALYST: A WOMEN IN INDUSTRY CONFERENCE

Manufacture Alabama invites women from Alabama and the Gulf Coast at Catalyst, a conference created specifically for women in industry. Catalyst addresses the most important and prevalent issues facing women working in manufacturing and industrial settings. This is the first event of its kind held in Alabama.
