AMBASSADOR'S CORNER

Meet Chip Chadwick, Allstate Insurance- Michael Love Agency LLC

I was born and raised in the Mid-Michigan area and have a passion for Isabella County and all it has to offer. From the beautiful golf courses and winding Chippewa river to the amazing restaurants and the stunning downtown district. Mt. Pleasant and Isabella County have so much to offer me. This is why I love being an ambassador. I get to watch and be involved in the growth of such a wonderful community as well as share my favorite aspects with all the wonderful people this position allows me to meet.

If you don’t find me at a Chamber ribbon cutting or Business After Hours, you can most likely find me in a park, in the woods, or on my kayak in the Chippewa River. I love the outdoors and being physical. I have recently volunteered to help coach little league baseball and youth basketball in Mt Pleasant. If you ever see me at any of these events please stop by and introduce yourself.

I’d love to meet you all.

Do you enjoy mentoring and meeting new people? Maybe you have the calling to become an Ambassador.

Our ambassadors play a crucial role to maintain contact with Chamber members and help them recognize and utilize the value of their membership. They also ensure you are getting what you want out of our membership.

Ambassadors serve in many ways, such as:

  • Greeting members at Chamber functions and performing other goodwill projects such as ribbon cuttings, etc.
  • Encouraging participation of current members at Chamber functions
  • Visiting members in their businesses, and subsequently providing feedback to the Chamber
  • Mentoring new members

If you would like to know more about being a Chamber Ambassador, contact Deena at deenakalb@mt-pleasant.net.

Sidney Sowle & Son, Inc - Serving the Mt. Pleasant Community for 115 Years

Sidney Sowle & Son, Inc, (aka Sowle Mayflower), has been a local family-owned and operated business since 1907. The company has been an agent for Mayflower since 1964. The Sowle family owned it until 2005, when a long-time employee, Jay Huber, purchased it. Jay continues to serve as owner and General Manager.

We provide both commercial and residential moving and storage. Our services include local, intrastate, interstate, and international moving, as well as storage services. While we often assist customers with relocating the contents of their entire residence, we also move items within homes, complete jobs of only one or two items, and provide labor-only service. Additionally, we offer climate-controlled storage and sell packing materials. Free estimates are available, and it is always our pleasure to answer any questions, as we believe that educating potential customers is crucial.

As we are a locally owned and operated company, we enjoy serving the community that supports us as well. Our most well know philanthropic activities include the annual Fill-A-Mayflower food drive, and the Lion’s Club Chicken Barbeque.

We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured company, as well as certified ProMovers. Sowle Mayflower has been named to the Circle of Excellence by our headquarters, and our Sales Manager, Scott Tesluck, is a recognized member of the Master’s Club for his exemplary achievements. We are members of the Mt. Pleasant area Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Mover’s Association, and Better Business Bureau, with whom we maintain an A+ rating.

It is a pleasure to have served Mt. Pleasant for the past 115 years, and we look forward to continuing to do so for many more years.
