Greetings!
Stage 3 of Covid reopening has been implemented for a couple of weeks now. The new normal of face masks and social distancing has been embraced by businesses and patrons alike.
This is a huge positive to get businesses working again. We have seen some incredible success stories of adaption and change. Unfortunately, we have also seen some businesses close.
In July we launched the open for business toolkit to help provide some locally sourced PPE for businesses to use in their reopening. We have visited, talked, shared and supported by showcasing businesses in video and social media.
Kits are free for members.
Conversation with DBOT is essential for us to convey your local business issues to the Ontario Chamber of Commerce(OCC) with a direct line to provincial government decision makers.
We are thrilled that the OCC is embracing the "Canada United" movement which is aimed to support local business and accelerate small business recovery. The main messaging is to “show local some love” by buying, dining and shopping local. This aligns with DBOT's own "Think Local" campaign. A reminder for every consumer to explore your local business options for goods and services first!
Stay Safe,
