Meet Jordan Poteet

Business Development Analyst

Hometown ~ Bowling Green, Kentucky

My Core Values ~ Ethical values, honesty and loyalty are features I look for in people. Surrounding myself with colleagues whose values align with my ideals helps boost my morale and pushes me to reach my goals.

Working at American Pharmacies ~ I started working at American Pharmacies in August of 2022. I compare competitive data to our prices and build out our new account deals.

My experience at American Pharmacies has been nothing short of incredible. My mentors have helped me get to where I am today. I’ve also met so many role models who I look up to. I enjoy spending time with everyone and look forward to our events. Since joining American Pharmacies, I’ve grown so much professionally and personally.

All in the Family ~ My paternal grandmother, Terumi Poteet, met and married my grandfather, Gilbert Poteet, while he served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II. In 1964, she immigrated to the United States from Nagoya, Japan, with her three sons.

My mother’s parents are from a small farming community in Russell Springs, Ky. Growing up, I spent a lot of time on their farm. My grandparents mean the world to me.

My parents met at the Bowling Green Medical Center where my dad was a respiratory therapist and my mom a nurse. They married in 1990 on their best friend’s estate and had me in 1998. I’m an only child!

Hi, Maddie!

In My Spare Time You can find me exploring the East Coast with my boyfriend. We enjoy hiking in the mountains and relaxing on the beaches. During the summers, I take as many domestic trips as possible. My favorite cities are Chicago, Nashville, New York, and Washington, DC.

When I'm not exploring my favorite cities, I love to escape between the pages of a good book. My favorite book/film series are "Harry Potter", "Lord of the Rings" and "Twilight." I’m currently reading "The Lying Game" by Ruth Ware, an English writer. Next, I plan to read "The Next Millionaire Next Door" by Thomas Stanley and Sarah Fallaw -- a gift/recommendation from APRx President Leavoy.

I also love listening to music. My favorite artists/bands are Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Frank Ocean.

Interesting Facts About Me ~ I earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a Master of Arts in applied economics from Western Kentucky University.

My ideal outing with friends is stopping by Starbucks for a Venti Iced Toasted Vanilla Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, grabbing sushi and getting our nails painted in the color Bubble Bath by OPI.

The Future of Pharmacy ~ The number one thing I would like to see in the independent pharmacy world would be the end of abusive PBM practices.
