UPCOMING EVENTS
Mean Green Family Live | Thursday, September 16
Parent Programs invites you to join us virtually for our monthly Mean Green Family Live Webinar focusing on the adjustment to college and featuring campus partners from student activities. This FREE live webinar is held via Zoom from 8 pm - 9pm and allows parents and families to ask any questions they have about the adjustment to college for themselves or their Eagle. Can't make it? A recording of this session will be uploaded to our website.
Family Weekend | Friday, September 17 - Sunday, September 19
Mark your calendars! Family Weekend is the first big event of the year for students and their families. A variety of activities make Family Weekend a special time for students to share their new environment with friends, parents, and family members. Whether you live near or far, we want you to join your UNT family for a weekend of fun!
SEASONS OF ADJUSTMENT
Time Management Skills
1 Help your eagle start the semester on a strong note! Mastering time management within the first semester will give them a strong foundation for the rest of their undergraduate career.

The Learning Center is a great resource for building time management skills and offers a variety of programs for academic success!
Home Away From Home
2 Encourage your eagle to find a community and support system on campus to help them through their first year at UNT.

Remind your student that they can get involved on campus through organizations or part-time student employment. If your eagle experiences homesickness, remind them that there are people on campus to support them. Encourage your student to visit Counseling and Testing Services to talk to someone.
Mean Green Spirit
3 We want UNT students and families to feel connected to the university and part of the Mean Green Family!

Grab the family and join us for Family Weekend or plan a trip to explore the campus during our festive homecoming week and see the vibrant Denton community. We are always thrilled to see parents and families on campus!
