With the continuous evolution of cyberthreats, it’s also important to ensure that your children are practicing safe browsing habits. Put cybersecurity first with these helpful tips:

Understand what’s sensitive. Familiarize yourself with what is considered nonpublic personal information (NPI) and why it could be dangerous for it to fall into the wrong hands.

Encrypt your data and back it up. Encryption prevents unauthorized access to the information you store. Using a proper backup process eliminates the threat of losing your data from ransomware infections.

Get savvy about Wi-Fi. Public wireless and hotspots are not secure, leaving information you share visible to hackers on the same Wi-Fi network.
