The popular Mayors Wellness Walks sponsored by the Mayors Wellness Campaign of Bradley Beach will have a new set of participants this Sunday, October 22 (meet on the Brinley Avenue entrance to the beach at 9:00AM). The fourth in this year’s series “Walk with the Experts” will feature Kathleen Heaney, DVM, President of Heaney Veterinary Consulting and retired Executive Director of Veterinary Services for Merck Animal Health.
Walkers are welcome – with or without dogs – for a presentation by Dr. Heaney on “Healthy Dog, Healthy You” followed by a walk on the beach.
We’ll walk anywhere from .75 to 1.5 miles- depending on how it goes. No one needs to worry about distance-we will go up to 1.5 miles. If your dog is too small or not used to walking on the beach, we will accommodate- promise. The event should be fun- looks like the weather should be OK- a little breezy; but mid-50’s! You can bring a water bowl if you like, please- BYOPB (we’ll have some to
distribute too). We’ll have some water/ doggy snacks available too.
